Azerbaijan has expressed interest in amending the current double taxation avoidance agreement with Russia, Russian Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov said during a session at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Report informs via Russian media.
According to Alexei Sazanov, the Russian Ministry of Finance does not plan to change any tax agreements in the near future. However, such a request should come from businesses or other countries.
"Now we have this kind of interest from Azerbaijan. We will communicate with colleagues and, if we find mutually beneficial, mutually acceptable conditions, we will move forward," said the deputy minister.
The agreement between Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation was concluded in 1997.
