Azerbaijan’s Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) under the Ministry of Economy is promoting SMEs' transition to a green economy and the Baku Climate Declaration at the 30th Anniversary International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition (Caspian Oil and Gas) held at the Baku Expo Center as part of Baku Energy Week, Report informs, citing the KOBIA.
The agency's stand at this year's exhibition is dedicated to promoting SMEs' transition to a green economy and the Joint Declaration on the Baku Climate Coalition for SMEs' Green Transition put forward by the KOBIA within the framework of COP29. For this purpose, written and video materials about the Baku Climate Declaration have been allocated space at the stand.
The declaration, which has been joined by nearly 20 local and international organizations, is the first global initiative on the green transition of SMEs. This document includes measures aimed at combining joint efforts for the transition of small and medium entrepreneurs to a green economy at the global level. During the exhibition, local and foreign organizations related to entrepreneurship will be informed about the declaration, and promotional work will be carried out to encourage them to join this initiative.
The KOBIA's stand also showcases products and services of nearly 10 SME entities operating in the fields of textiles, energy, ICT, industrial equipment manufacturing, services, and logistics. This support aims to promote SME products and services, expand sales opportunities, and establish new collaborations.
The Caspian Oil and Gas exhibition will end tomorrow. During this period, KOBIA's stand will serve as a platform for meetings, consulting services, and support for promoting the Baku Climate Declaration for entrepreneurs interested in and supporting the green transition, as well as other stakeholders.
