Brazil thanks Azerbaijan for support in preparations for COP30

Brazil thanked Azerbaijan for its support in the preparations for COP30, COP30 CEO Ana Amelia Campos Toni told journalists, Report informs via Baku TV.

According to the COP30 CEO, Brazil is benefiting from Azerbaijan's experience in this area:

"We are currently studying Azerbaijan's experience to prepare Belem for the COP. We are not ready yet, but we will be ready when the time comes. Adaptation and a fair energy transition are very important topics. Together with Azerbaijan, we are trying to bring climate finance to $1.3 trillion. At the same time, the Brazilian climate champion is expanding its activities for common areas together with Azerbaijan."

Ana Amelia Campos Toni also said that the rulebook was completed at COP29, and now the implementation period for a new decade begins:

"We also see the preparation of this. We hope that we will be able to announce our agenda of activities this week."
