Azerbaijan mulls global energy market trends with IEA

Azerbaijan and the International Energy Agency (IEA) have exchanged views on current trends and forecasts in the global energy market, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Energy.

These issues were discussed at a meeting between Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol within the framework of an international event on energy efficiency in Brussels.

Birol noted that Azerbaijan is a reliable partner in ensuring Europe's energy security and stressed the importance of developing cooperation in this area. During the conversation, effective cooperation with the Agency in promoting COP29 initiatives was emphasized.

Discussions were held on monitoring the implementation of energy initiatives and reflecting progress in the relevant Agency updates, as well as promising areas for developing cooperation.
