Ukraine is interested in developing bilateral relations with Azerbaijan, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said in an interview with Report.
"We are very interested in developing bilateral relations with Azerbaijan as our strategic partner. We are interested in expanding dialogues at all levels," the Ukrainian diplomat emphasized.
The foreign minister expressed gratitude for the humanitarian assistance provided by Azerbaijan to the Ukrainian city of Irpin: "We are already grateful for the humanitarian assistance provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine, especially to the city of Irpin. We appreciate it. We are also grateful for the assistance provided to us in difficult times, especially in the winter months, when we needed it most, particularly with energy equipment."
He noted that there is regular contact between the leaders of the two countries: "There is a regular dialogue between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. My upcoming trip to Azerbaijan will serve to further strengthen our bilateral relations for the benefit of both countries and both peoples, and we have great expectations."
A delegation led by Sybiha is expected to visit Azerbaijan on May 25.
