British law enforcement authorities detained six individuals after a fight near the Iranian Embassy in London, Report informs via TASS.
According to a statement from a Scotland Yard spokesperson quoted by Sky News, the incident occurred on Princess Gate Street in southwest London.
At 09:53 on Friday, June 20, police responded to reports of a fight on Princess Gate Street, the statement said.
"Six people were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. They remain in police custody. Two individuals received medical assistance at the scene and were subsequently hospitalized by London Ambulance Service for further treatment. The police have cordoned off the area while a preliminary investigation is ongoing," the spokesperson said.
Reuters reported that the arrests took place during a protest against Iranian authorities outside the Iranian Embassy in London.
