Head of OIC Labor Center: Inclusivity should be pursued in social protection field

Inclusivity should be pursued in the field of social protection, and the creation of new systems should be targeted, said Azer Bayramov, Director General of the Labor Center of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Report informs.

According to Report, speaking at an international conference held in Baku on May 29 on the topic "Aligning social protection systems in the context of modern world challenges," Bayramov said that social protection is a factor that forms the basis of human capital: "Social protection affects education and skills development, reduces inequality. A healthy population forms the backbone of a developing workforce."

The official stated that social protection is not just about protecting people:

"Social protection, first of all, helps education and the development of social skills. In the absence of systems such as cash transfers and insurance, talents cannot develop either."
